DISCUSSION... Hot temperatures will develop again today with highs in the 90s to near 100 F. Afternoon heat indices may reach as high as 105 F for a few locations. Isolated storm probabilities will continue through the day for northern portions of northeast Ok and northwest AR (10-20% chance). A few of these storms may result in gusty winds, frequent lightning, and brief heavy rain. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. SUNDAY TO MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. TUESDAY...No Hazards. WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... A cold front will move through Sunday into Monday bringing an end to the heat. Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms will occur during this period.
