* WHERE...In Arkansas, Crawford, Franklin, and Sebastian Counties.
  In Oklahoma, Cherokee, Muskogee, Okfuskee, Sequoyah, Craig, Creek,
  Mayes, Nowata, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner,
  Washington OK, Choctaw, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, McIntosh,
  Pittsburg, and Pushmataha Counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses are possible especially impacting
  those not acclimated to the conditions or those performing
  strenuous activities.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

much of Eastern Oklahoma.

DISCUSSION...
Hot temperatures will develop again today with highs in the 90s to
near 100 F. Afternoon heat indices may reach as high as 105 F for
a few locations. Isolated storm probabilities will continue
through the day for northern portions of northeast Ok and
northwest AR (10-20% chance). A few of these storms may result in
gusty winds, frequent lightning, and brief heavy rain.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
SUNDAY TO MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
TUESDAY...No Hazards.
WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
A cold front will move through Sunday into Monday bringing an end
to the heat. Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms will
occur during this period. A few of the storms could produce
marginally severe wind gusts. There may be a brief break on
Tuesday but isolated to scattered storms may return to portions of
the area from Wednesday onwards. Temperatures will remain near to
below normal for this period.
