This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Puerto Rico.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

.Lightning...Scattered to numerous thunderstorms possible across
the interior and western sections on the afternoon. Plan to stop
all outdoor activity and move to shelters.

.Excessive Rainfall...Flooding of urban areas, roads, small
streams, and washes. Isolated flash floods possible.

.Excessive Heat...This level of heat affects primarily those
individuals extremely sensitive to heat, especially when outdoors
without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

The flood, lightning & limited heat threat will be present at
least until Friday, as a abundant moisture reach the islands
inducing an increase in showers. The Excessive Heat threat will be
present limited to elevated for most of the period.


.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is encouraged. Please relay any information
about flooding, winds, waves, and rip currents to the National
Weather Service in San Juan.

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT MOROVIS...CIALES...LARES...
UTUADO AND SURROUNDING MUNICIPALITIES THROUGH 315 PM AST...

At 212 PM AST, trained weather spotters reported a strong
thunderstorm over Morovis. Additionally, the Doppler Radar detected
another strong thunderstorm over Utuado and Lares. These
thunderstorms were slowly drifting northward.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters and Doppler Radar.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
