Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening. The main hazard from any thunderstorm that develops will be cloud-to-ground lightning, although a few storms could become strong to severe and produce damaging wind gusts. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms is expected on Tuesday. Some of these storms could become severe and produce damaging winds and hail. In addition, a tropical system is expected to strengthen over the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday and Thursday and will likely impact our area towards the end of the week.
