A Heat Advisory is in place for the James Valley this afternoon including locations west and east of that line in places like Faulkton, Miller, Highmore, Pierre, Kennebec, Clark, Watertown and Milbank. There is a Slight Risk (2/5) for severe weather late this afternoon and early evening for the northeast corner of South Dakota and west central Minnesota. A Marginal Risk (1/5) for severe weather exists for all locales west of that from the James Valley through the Missouri Valley. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats, although an tornado can`t be ruled out across the far east in west central Minnesota. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
