This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central South Dakota and
northeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

With wet conditions and the potential for additional heavy rain
producing thunderstorms through the day, the flash flood watch
remains in effect.

There is a risk for an isolated strong to severe thunderstorm this
afternoon and evening, though confidence remains low with respect to
timing and coverage. Hail to 1 inch and wind gusts of 60mph are the
main threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northeast South Dakota, including
  the following counties, in central South Dakota, Buffalo, Hand,
  Hyde and Lyman. In northeast South Dakota, Clark, Codington,
  Deuel, Hamlin and Spink.

* WHEN...Through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Rain and thunderstorms will move back over the affected
    region this afternoon through tonight bringing an additional
    1 to 2 inches, especially west of the James Valley.
