...The National Weather Service in Rapid City SD has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in South Dakota...

  White River near Oacoma affecting Lyman and Tripp Counties.

For the White River...including Oacoma...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The next statement will be issued around 8am CST.this afternoon at
215 PM CDT.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River near Oacoma.

* WHEN...From early this morning to late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Minor flooding of agricultural land along
  the White River continues.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 15.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:15 AM CDT Friday was 15.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    this evening and continue falling to 13.0 feet Tuesday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northeast South Dakota, including
  the following counties, in central South Dakota, Buffalo, Hand,
  Hyde and Lyman. In northeast South Dakota, Clark, Codington,
  Deuel, Hamlin and Spink.

* WHEN...Through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - 1 to 3 inches of rain has already fallen across portions of
    the watch area in the last 24 hours. Another 1 to 3 inches
    with locally higher amounts is possible through Friday night.

South Dakota.

There may be a few strong to severe thunderstorms across portions of
south central South Dakota this afternoon and evening. A Marginal
Risk (level 1 out of 5) is in effect.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and
evening. There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 out of 5) in effect across
northern South Dakota and west central Minnesota. There is a Slight
Risk (level 2 out of 5) in effect across southern South Dakota.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed across southern parts of the area
Friday afternoon and evening.
