...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...James River near Scotland.

* WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, Flooding begins to affect some farm
  buildings and rural structures and 431st Ave is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM CDT Thursday was 17.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early Tuesday morning and continue falling to 10.1 feet
    Thursday, July 04.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South
Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Flooding surrounding area creeks and rivers will continue.

Strong to severe storms are possible during the late evening and
overnight, mainly along and west of the James River. Main threats
are ping pong ball sized hail and wind gusts to 70 mph. Locally
heavy rain and a tornado are possible. Widespread heavy rain is not
expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Flooding continues on many area rivers through the end of the week.

Strong to severe storms are possible during the afternoon and early
evening Friday, mainly east of I-29. Some uncertainty remains in
Friday`s severe threat, but all modes of severe weather are possible
as well as locally heavy rain. Widespread heavy rainfall is not
expected.

An active pattern early next week could lead to additional heavy
rain and/or severe weather threat; however, confidence is very low at
this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
