Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and early evening, mainly south of line from Toledo Bend Dam to Columbia Louisiana. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. More widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected areawide Monday through Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible in most locations except Southwest Arkansas and Northeast Louisiana on Thursday and will mainly be limited to areas well south of Interstate 20 on Friday. The greatest coverage of showers and thunderstorms will generally be from the early afternoon through the evening each day. Locally gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall will be possible in the stronger storms, but organized severe weather is not anticipated. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Louisiana...Texas...
Sabine River At Logansport affecting Shelby, De Soto and Panola
Counties.
Sabine River At Longview affecting Rusk and Gregg Counties.
Sabine River Near Gladewater affecting Upshur, Gregg, Wood and
Smith Counties.
Sabine River Near Hawkins affecting Upshur, Wood and Smith
Counties.
Sabine River Near Beckville affecting Harrison, Rusk, Gregg and
Panola Counties.
Sabine River Near Mineola affecting Wood and Smith Counties.
For the Sabine River...including Mineola, Hawkins, Gladewater,
Longview, Beckville, Logansport...Moderate flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Expect moderate to severe flooding of the
lowland floodplain for the next several days.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 29.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:45 PM CDT Sunday was 29.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 27.6 feet Friday
evening.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
29.3 feet on 05/04/1991.
