This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
There is a slight chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening
mainly south of I-20 and west of I-35. Severe weather is unlikely.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Isolated thunderstorms may linger across western portions of Central
Texas on Thursday.

Heat index values will approach 105 each afternoon from Sunday
through the middle of next week.

There is a slight chance of storms east of I-35 on Tuesday.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Neches River Near Alto affecting Trinity, Cherokee, Anderson and
  Houston Counties.

For the Neches River...including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto,
Diboll, Rockland...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River near Alto.

* WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Expect moderate to severe flooding of the
  heavily wooded floodplain. Boat ramps and picnic areas will be
  completely inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:15 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:15 AM CDT Wednesday was 17.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early Friday afternoon and continue falling to 14.1 feet
    Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    17.2 feet on 03/19/1970.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding.  Move livestock
  and equipment to higher ground away from the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 13.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:30 AM CDT Wednesday was 13.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Saturday morning and continue falling to 11.0 feet Monday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    13.3 feet on 01/20/2017.
