...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Neches River Near Alto affecting Cherokee, Houston, Trinity and
  Anderson Counties.

For the Neches River...including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto,
Diboll, Rockland...Major flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

  - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 PM CDT Thursday was 20.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.9
    feet early Tuesday morning.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Expect lowland flooding of the river
  bottom. Ranchers that have cattle and equipment near the river
  should move them to higher ground.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 29.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 29.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM CDT Thursday was 29.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.7
    feet Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Monday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
