Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon through early evening as tropical moisture continues to increase across the region. The strongest storms may contain gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall, but organized severe weather is not anticipated. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. More scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected Tuesday into Wednesday. The greatest coverage of showers and thunderstorms will generally be from the early afternoon through the evening each day. Locally gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall will be possible in the strongest storms, but organized severe weather is not anticipated. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Neches River Near Diboll affecting Trinity, Houston, Angelina,
Tyler and Polk Counties.
For the Neches River...including Neches, Alto, Diboll...Minor
flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHERE...Angelina River near Lufkin.

* IMPACTS...At 165.0 feet, Expect flooding to continue for several
days with the majority of the gravel access roadway flooded.
Boaters and four wheel-operators should use caution traversing
both upstream and downstream on the Angelina River as currents can
become swift and turbulent.
