Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are expected this afternoon as tropical moisture continues across the region. The strongest storms may contain gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall, but organized severe weather is not anticipated. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Rain chances will disappear as upper ridging begins to build over the region on Thursday. The potential for heat hazards and impacts from high temperatures will exist through the weekend and into next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Louisiana...Texas...
Sabine River At Logansport affecting Shelby, De Soto and Panola
Counties.
For the Sabine River...including Mineola, Hawkins, Gladewater,
Longview, Beckville, Logansport...Minor flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

and even some low area cabins.
