This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon
and early evening, mainly south of line from Toledo Bend Dam to
Columbia Louisiana.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

More widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected areawide
Monday through Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible
in most locations except Southwest Arkansas and Northeast Louisiana
on Thursday and will mainly be limited to areas well south of
Interstate 20 on Friday. The greatest coverage of showers and
thunderstorms will generally be from the early afternoon through the
evening each day. Locally gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall will
be possible in the stronger storms, but organized severe weather is
not anticipated.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Angelina River Near Lufkin affecting Cherokee, Nacogdoches and
  Angelina Counties.

For the Angelina River...including Alto, Lufkin...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Angelina River near Lufkin.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 165.0 feet, Expect flooding to continue for several
  days with the majority of the gravel access roadway flooded.
  Boaters and four wheel-operators should use caution traversing
  both upstream and downstream on the Angelina River as currents can
  become swift and turbulent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 164.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM CDT Saturday was 164.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 162.1 feet
    Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 161.0 feet.
  - Flood History...No available flood history.
