...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 PM
CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 109 expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas..

.DAY ONE...Today And Tonight.

A Heat Advisory is in effect this afternoon for locations along
and east of the I35 corridor with heat index values of 108 to 110
degrees expected in this area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Maximum heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees are forecast each
afternoon for the Coastal Plains and portions of the I-35 Corridor
and Rio Grande Plains. There remains a potential for Heat
Advisories for parts of south central Texas.
