This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern West
Virginia, northern and central Virginia, and central and western
Maryland.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon
and evening, especially along and west of the Blue Ridge and
Catoctin Mountains. The primary threat will be for damaging wind
gusts, but a tornado or two cannot be ruled out as well.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Thunderstorms are possible on Sunday afternoon into the evening,
especially near and east of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some of
these may become severe, with the primary threat being damaging
wind gusts.

The combination of heat and humidity on Sunday may lead to heat
index values of 100 to 105 degrees, especially east of the Blue
Ridge Mountains.
