PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Hazardous weather is not expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Confidence is high in sustained heat next week. Temperatures in the upper 80s to upper 90s and high dewpoints will likely result in heat indices approaching or even exceeding 100 Tuesday through Thursday. Warm overnight lows will provide little nighttime relief from the heat. The experimental NWS HeatRisk product is highlighting almost the entire region with the potential for major heat impacts developing by next Tuesday and Wednesday. Locally extreme heat impacts are possible Wednesday and Thursday. The heat may continue past Thursday but confidence on when it ends is currently low. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
