This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon
and early evening. Some storms will be strong with hail up to
penny size, brief heavy rainfall, and wind gusts to 40 mph. There
is a 5 to 10 percent chance that a few storms may become severe
with hail up to half-dollar coin size and brief wind gusts of 60
mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN WASHBURN...
SOUTHEASTERN ASHLAND...NORTHWESTERN PRICE AND SAWYER COUNTIES THROUGH
730 PM CDT...

At 641 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles west of Butternut to New Post to near
Trego. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

These storms will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern
Washburn, southeastern Ashland, northwestern Price and Sawyer
Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
