Thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening. A few storms may become severe with potential damaging winds and a tornado or two. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Additional rounds of thunderstorms are expected Thursday night through Saturday. A few severe storms, heavy rainfall, and flash flooding are possible with each of these rounds. River levels will continue rising through late week with some locations reaching moderate or major flood stage. At 1100 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Birchwood to 5 miles south of Menomonie. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Eau Claire, Menomonie, Ladysmith, Chippewa Falls, Lake Hallie, Stanley, Bloomer, Lake Wissota, Chetek, Cornell, Cadott, and Colfax. This includes the following highways... Interstate 94 in Wisconsin between mile markers 43 and 56. U.S. Highway 53 between mile markers 93 and 131. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
