Flooding continues along many area rivers. Please see the latest

Severe thunderstorms are possible tonight, with damaging winds
the primary threat. Additionally, severe hail and perhaps a
tornado cannot be ruled out.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Flooding will continue along many area rivers. Please see the
latest flood statements for additional details.

Thunderstorm chances return Thursday night into Friday night, but
it is too early to determine any severe weather risk.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Minnesota, including the following
  counties, Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha and
  Winona and Wisconsin, including the following counties, Buffalo,
  Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau and Vernon.

* WHEN...Until 3 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
  Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more
  heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Additional heavy rain due to thunderstorms is possible
    tonight. One to three inches of rain with locally higher
    amounts is possible where strong storms develop. Due to
    abundant recent rainfall, this additional rain may quickly
    lead to flash flooding.

Warning for the following rivers in Wisconsin...

  Black River at Black River Falls affecting Jackson County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING TO LATE WEDNESDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Black River at Black River Falls.

* WHEN...From Tuesday morning to late Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 47.0 feet, Some rural roads may begin to flood
  including county Highway VV downstream near the La Crosse County
  line.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 46.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 43.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow morning to a crest of 47.9 feet tomorrow
    evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 47.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    47.0 feet on 03/30/2004.
