* WHAT...Heat index values in the upper 90s to lower 100s.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and
  central, northern, southern, and western West Virginia.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...High temperatures and humidity may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and
pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any
circumstances.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take frequent breaks in shaded or air conditioned
environments. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion
and heat stroke.
