THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Kentucky, southeast
Ohio, and portions of central, northeast, northern, southern and
western West Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

A prolonged and potentially dangerous period of heat begins today.
Heat index values will reach into the mid to upper 90s this
afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

   Excessive Heat Watch.

A prolonged and potentially dangerous period of heat continues
through at least Friday. Heat index values will reach into the mid
90s to low 100s each day, which may result in heat-related health
and infrastructure impacts. Heat Advisories may be needed for lowland
locations on some days this week.

THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...A prolonged period of dangerously hot conditions with heat
  index values at or exceeding 100 each day.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and
  central, northeast, northern, southern, and western West Virginia.

* WHEN...From Monday morning through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Visit weather.gov/safety/heat for more
  information on heat safety.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
