...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 PM AKDT SUNDAY
FOR MENDENHALL LAKE AND RIVER IN THE CENTRAL INNER CHANNELS OF
SOUTHEAST ALASKA...

At 851 PM AKDT, river gauge reports indicate rises in water levels
from previous heavy rain over the advisory area that is causing
minor flooding. Less than a quarter inch of rain has fallen in the
last 12 hours. Additional rainfall of up to a quarter inch is
expected over the area through the next 12 hours.

For the Mendenhall Lake:
At 815 PM AKDT the stage was 9.3 feet.
Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
Forecast: peak stage of 9.5 feet is expected at 4 AM.
Impacts: At 9.4 feet, the yards along View Drive will start to flood
and cause minor flooding. Also, water covers Skaters Cabin Road
between Skaters Cabin and West Glacier Trailhead, with water flowing
into the Mendenhall Lake Campground.
