...A FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS FROM HEAVY
RAINFALL REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 100 PM AKST WEDNESDAY FOR JORDAN
CREEK IN THE CENTRAL INNER CHANNELS...

At 942 PM AKST, reporting gauges indicated heavy rain across the
warned area causing impacts. Rivers and streams will continue to rise
rapidly.  4.1 inches of rain have fallen at the Juneau Airport in
the last 21 hours. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected
over the area through the next 5 hours.

For the Jordan Creek:
At 942 PM AKST the stage was 10.8 feet.
Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
Forecast: Forecast crest of 10.85 feet around midnight.
Impacts: At 10.5 feet there is some inundation of structures and
  roads near Jordan Creek with more than a foot of water. Some
  residential homes and commercial offices along the creek will see
  significant flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM AKST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* WHERE...Juneau Borough and Northern Admiralty Island.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM AKST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.

...THE FLOOD ADVISORY FROM RAIN AND SNOWMELT FOR MINOR FLOODING IN
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 AM AKST WEDNESDAY FOR
Around Gustavus, Juneau, Hoonah and Sitka IN THE CENTRAL PANHANDLE...

At 817 PM AKST, satellite estimates and automated rain gauges
indicate rain and snowmelt which will cause minor flooding. Poor
drainage areas will produce minor impacts in the advisory area. 3 to
6 inches of rain have fallen in the last 15 hours higher amount are
possible in higher terrain. Hoonah RAWS has reported 4 to 6 inches,
Bear Cover in Sitka 2 to 5 inches, Gustavus 1.6 to 3.9 inches,
Juneau 3 to 5 inches. Additional rainfall of 2 to 5 inches is expected
through the next 12 hours.

Small creeks and streams are expected to reach bankfull Tuesday
morning. Continued heavy rainfall rates will keep water levels
elevated through Wednesday. Expect ponding of water on roadways
and in poor drainage areas.

Mudslides are possible in areas of steep terrain.
