.An atmospheric river will impact Southcentral beginning Friday.
Warmer temperatures will keep precipitation as mostly rainfall in
lower elevations. Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall are expected
for most of Southcentral through Sunday.

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...The following areas, Anchorage, East Turnagain Arm,
  Matanuska Valley, Northeast Prince William Sound, Southeast Prince
  William Sound, Susitna Valley, Western Kenai Peninsula and Western
  Prince William Sound.  This includes the cities of Anchorage,
  Eagle River, Indian, Eklutna, Girdwood, Portage, Palmer, Wasilla,
  Sutton, Chickaloon, Kenai, Soldotna, Homer, Cooper Landing,
  Whittier, Seward, Moose Pass, Valdez, Thompson Pass, Cordova,
  Talkeetna, And Willow.

* WHEN...From Friday morning through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Expect 1 to 2.5 inches of rainfall for Western Kenai,
    Anchorage, and the Matanuska Valley through Sunday with
    greater accumulations at higher elevations. 2 to 5 inches are
    expected in the Susitna Valley and 2 to 6 inches are expected
    in the Eastern Kenai Peninsula and Prince William Sound.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
