The transition to rain has reached Angoon and Pelican with the rain- snow line slowly moving north through Monday morning. Snow is changing over to rain through the area today. A significant snow pack exists from the resent storm. Once the snow completely changes over to rain, an extended period of rain on snow is expected with rainfall continuing through Tuesday. The rain will make snow removal difficult due to higher water content making the snow heavier. Areas of compact snow will become very slippery. There could also be areas of ponding of water due to blocked culverts or drains. $$
