...FLOOD WARNING FOR AN ICE JAM NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM AKDT
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues.

* WHERE...Yukon River near Emmonak, Alakanuk, Nunam Iqua.

* WHEN...Until 345 PM AKDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of low-lying and flood-prone locations is
  imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with
  water and may not be passable. Flooding as well as large blocks of
  ice being pushed onshore is possible. Water will remain high until
  the ice jam releases.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 930 AM AKDT, A trained river spotter reported that an ice
    jam that formed on Yukon River near Emmonak on Thursday
    remains in place. The river spotter reported that flooding of
    low lying areas in Emmonak is occuring,  including the road
    to the airport. No structures are flooded in Emmonak as of
    Friday morning, but that could change if ice shifts and water
    levels rise again. Emmonak was reported to be at the same
    water level as was seen in the 2023 Break Up flood. An
    observer in Alakanuk reported at 11 AM AKDT Friday that
    widespread minor flooding was occuring, and that the water
    had risen 2 feet since Thursday. The road to the airport at
    Alakanuk was reported to have 4 inches of water over it.
    Water level at Alakanuk was reported to be 10 inches below
    the 2023 break up flood.

  - Flooding is now occuring at Emmonak and Alakanuk, Flooding is
    expected at Nunam Iqua. Water can rise rapidly.

Stay tuned to further developments by listening to your local radio,
television, or NOAA Weather Radio for further information. Move
valuable items to higher ground. Prepare for high water, and move to
a safe location on high ground. Be aware that water can rise very
rapidly with an ice jam and push ice onshore which could damage
buildings.

...FLOOD WATCH FOR AN ICE JAM REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues to be possible.

* WHERE...Yukon River in the Yukon Delta.

* WHEN...Through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Ice jams may result in flooding along the Yukon River
  over the Yukon Delta. Low lying areas near Kotlik have potential
  to flood from through Saturday. If an ice jam shifts water
  could rise rapidly.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - The Yukon River breakup is pushing across the Yukon Delta.
    Ice has jammed up near Kotlik with high water on the river
    but no flooding was reported in Kotlik. There is still a risk
    of flooding at Kotlik should the ice shift and push water
    towards the town.

  - If you live near or along the Yukon River on the Yukon Delta
  move valuables to higher ground, stay alert and be     prepared to
