This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the counties served by the
National Weather Service office in Birmingham.

.DAY ONE...Outlook through Tonight.

Heavy rain at times may occur across the northern half of Central
Alabama through the early evening. The heavy rain will be isolated,
but one to two inches may fall in a short period of time, resulting
in flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Activation of storm spotters and emergency management may be needed
today.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central Alabama, east central Alabama, northeast
  Alabama, northwest Alabama and west central Alabama, including the
  following areas, in central Alabama, Bibb, Blount, Chilton, Coosa,
  Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega and Walker. In east
  central Alabama, Calhoun, Chambers, Clay, Cleburne, Randolph and
  Tallapoosa. In northeast Alabama, Cherokee and Etowah. In
  northwest Alabama, Marion and Winston. In west central Alabama,
  Fayette, Lamar and Tuscaloosa.

* Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* Periods of locally heavy rain are possible today. Ground
  conditions are saturated from rainfall over the past few days and
  any heavy downpours could result in flash flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
