This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters, southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of Mexico. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Heat: Triple digit heat indices will be felt across the region today with forecasted peak values of 104 to 107 degrees fahrenheit this afternoon. A Heat Advisory is in effect for Miami and Broward counties from 10am to 6pm today. Thunderstorms: Scattered to showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon across South Florida, with the highest chances over interior and southeast Florida. A few storms could become locally strong to marginally severe. Heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and frequent to excessive lightning is possible with any storm today. Waterspouts: There is the potential of waterspouts across area waters today. Coastal Flooding: Minor coastal flooding associated with enhanced astronomical tides (King tides) will continue to be possible during todays high tide cycles. Rip Currents: There is a high risk for rip currents along the Palm Beaches today and a moderate risk of rip currents along the Miami- Dade & Broward beaches today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Scattered thunderstorms will be possible daily, with primary threats of gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Peak heat index values will remain near 105 degrees through the early week period. There will be an elevated risk for rip currents for the Palm beaches through the mid week period as continued high amplitude northerly swell moves in. Minor coastal flooding will also be possible during high tide cycles throughout most of the week due to the combination of northerly swell and king tides. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
