This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

FIRE WEATHER DANGER.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and west-central Arkansas.
ONSET...This afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Gusty north winds will develop today behind a cold front
currently moving through the area. Persistent dry conditions and
low afternoon relative humidities will create a high fire weather
danger across much of eastern oklahoma and west-central arkansas.

The worst conditions are likely to occur in the forested terrain
of southeast oklahoma and across northeast Oklahoma where the
stronger winds will occur. Afternoon humidity values will fall
into the 25 to 35 percent range across eastern oklahoma and west-
central arkansas. Conditions will begin to improve by early
evening as humidities increase.

Avoid outdoor activities that could inadvertently start a fire,
including disposing of cigarettes properly. Burn bans are
currently in effect across northwest arkansas and most of
eastern oklahoma. Report any wildfires to local officials.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
SATURDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...No Hazards.
WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
THURSDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Heightened fire weather concerns will persist across the area
until meaningful rainfall occurs. At least low rain chances will
return for the early to middle part of next week. Gusty winds
will raise fire weather concerns on Tuesday ahead of the next cold
front. A few widely scattered thunderstorms will be possible
Wednesday as the front moves through the area.
