DISCUSSION...
A second system will approach the area late tonight
with precipitation expanding across eastern Oklahoma after midnight.
Areas along and north of I-44 appear to be cold enough for a
wintry mix of precipitation, with rain, freezing rain, sleet, and
snow all possible late tonight into Wednesday. Additionally, some
elevated instability could lead to a few embedded thunderstorms
after midnight across eastern Oklahoma as well.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Precipitation will continue to expand northeastward during the
morning hours Wednesday with wintry precipitation staying mainly
along and north of I-44. Ice accumulations up to two tenths of an
inch of snow/sleet accumulations up to two inches will be
possible through Wednesday afternoon. Elsewhere, a cold rain with
some embedded thunderstorms is expected. An isolated storm could
be strong with some small hail possible, especially across
southeast Oklahoma.

Dangerous wind chills will develop at times Wednesday through
Thursday before temperatures gradually warm by late week
into the weekend. The next storm system brings increasing
precipitation chances late Saturday into Sunday.
