PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Arkansas...
White River At Clarendon affecting Arkansas and Monroe Counties.
White River At Augusta affecting White and Woodruff Counties.
For the Lower White River...including Newport, Augusta, Georgetown,
Des Arc, Clarendon...Minor flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
River forecasts are based on current conditions and rainfall
forecasted to occur over the next 24 hours. During periods of
flooding...Evening forecasts are reissued with updated rainfall
forecasts.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Roads in Henry Gray Hurricane Lake
Wildlife Management area flooded. Thousands of acres of cultivated
land flooded in White and Woodruff counties.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 29.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 27.0 feet Friday,
July 25.
