* WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.

* WHERE...Black Mesa, Chuska Mountains and Defiance Plateau, Little
  Colorado River Valley, Kaibito Plateau, Painted Desert, Coconino
  Plateau, Western Mogollon Rim, and White Mountains.

* WHEN...From 10 AM MST /11 AM MDT/ this morning to 7 PM MST /8 PM
  MDT/ this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Travel
  will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Patchy
  blowing dust may result in reduced visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Secure loose outdoor objects that could be blown around or damaged
by the wind.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles, such as RVs, campers, and tractor trailers. Use

VALLEY, NORTHEAST PLATEAUS AND MESAS SOUTH OF HWY 264, WHITE
MOUNTAINS, CHUSKA MOUNTAINS, AND THE DEFIANCE PLATEAU...

* AFFECTED AREA...Locations near Alpine, Buffalo Pass, Dilkon,
  Eagar-Springerville, Ganado, Holbrook, Kykotsmovi, Pinetop-
  Lakeside, Saint Johns, Show Low, Snowflake-Taylor, Tuba City,
  Whiteriver, Window Rock and Winslow. This includes portions of
  the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest.

* WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent.

* IMPACTS...The combination of gusty winds and low humidity can
  cause fires to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first
  responders can contain them.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring or are imminent. A combination of strong
winds and low relative humidities can contribute to extreme fire
behavior.
