* WHERE...Coastal areas of southwest California

* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Saturday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

In the event of a nearby wildfire, smoke may increase heat and
physical stress. If smoke impacts your area; 1) Have a cooling plan
in place as smoke could limit your ability to cool your home through
open windows and 2) If you have air conditioning, set on air
recirculation within the home to avoid smoke exposure. Local
officials may have additional guidance.
