...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 3 PM PST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Areas of northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35
  mph late tonight through Sunday afternoon. Isolated gusts to 40
  mph possible near Camarillo.

* WHERE...Ventura County Coast.

* WHEN...From 2 AM to 3 PM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will make driving difficult and could
  blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down
  and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Roadways impacted by gusty cross winds
  could include Highways 23, 101, and 118.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY
AFTERNOON...

* HAZARDS...Surf 3 to 6 feet across Ventura County Beaches and
  exposed west facing beaches of Southern Santa Barbara County.
  There will be local sets to 7 feet near the Ventura Pier with
  high risk of strong rip currents.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous rip currents and breaking waves are
  expected due to elevated surf due to long period swells. High
  temperatures are expected to be unseasonably warm in the 80s
  to lower 90s along the beaches, which should bring more people
  than usual to the beaches this weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Beach Hazards Statement is issued when threats such as rip
currents...longshore currents...sneaker waves and other hazards
create life-threatening conditions in the surf zone. Swim near a
lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t
swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following
the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or
wave for help.

URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY
AFTERNOON FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY OVER VENTURA COUNTY
AND THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY MOUNTAINS...AND THE SANTA CLARITA AND
SAN FERNANDO VALLEYS...

.Northeast winds will increase late tonight, peaking early Sunday
morning through late Sunday afternoon with gusts of 30 to 50 mph
over Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Widespread minimum
humidities in the 8 to 15 percent range are expected during this
time, with afternoon highs in the 80`s to mid 90s. This will
result in critical Red Flag conditions for wind prone areas of
Los Angeles and Ventura Counties on Sunday.

SUNDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE VENTURA COUNTY
COAST...

* Winds...Northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Relative Humidity...8-15 percent.

* Temperature...Maximums between 80 and 90.

* Impacts...If fire ignition occurs, conditions may be favorable
  for extreme fire behavior which would threaten life and
  property.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior. Use extreme caution with
potential fire ignition sources.
