...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow. Additional snow
  accumulations up to 7 inches at the Sierra crest. Ridge winds
  gusting as high as 70 mph with Lake Tahoe seeing gusts up to 40
  mph and waves 2 to 3 feet. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow.
  Snow accumulations between 1 to 2 feet at the Sierra crest with 6
  to 12 inches below 7000 feet. Ridge winds gusting as high as 80
  mph.

* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 11 PM PDT this
  evening. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Sunday afternoon through
  Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening and Monday
  morning commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage
  to trees and power lines.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snowfall for the advisory is
  through 5 PM this evening. This will affect the afternoon and
  evening commute across mountain passes.
