Total snow accumulations of 4 to 16 inches, except 15 to 28 inches above 7000 feet possible. Ridges gusting 70 to 100 mph out of the southwest. Gusts to 40 mph with waves of 2 to 4 feet on Lake Tahoe. * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area. * WHEN...From Saturday evening through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Strong winds could cause tree damage and power outages. A combination of winds and waves may capsize small vessels on Lake Tahoe. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a 10-15% chance of thunder mid-day Sunday, primarily along the Sierra crest.
