...ONE MORE SYSTEM TO BRING SNOW FOR LATE TODAY AND TONIGHT...

A colder system is expected late today into Sunday morning with
light to occasionally moderate snow possible down to all valley
floors. Higher confidence exists for areas around a Portola-Reno-
Fallon line, with up to 2 inches of snow possible by Sunday morning.
This includes the Reno-Sparks metro area. Keep in mind that it
doesn`t take much snow to bring travel difficulties.

Bottom line: Slick and snow-covered roads are possible for portions
of northeast California and western and west-central Nevada tonight
into Sunday. Make sure you are ready for winter driving conditions
and allow extra time to reach your destination. Check with CALTRANS
or NDOT for the latest travel restrictions before leaving for your
destination.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations generally up to
one inch, but with some locations receiving two to five inches.
The higher amounts will occur under narrow snow bands, which
  are likely to develop rapidly.

* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area, Lassen-Eastern Plumas-Eastern
Sierra Counties, Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area and
  Northern Washoe County.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Sunday. Snow likely to develop in
northeast California and over Donner Pass by late afternoon,
spreading across the eastern Tahoe Basin and western Nevada this
  evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions and low visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Even light snowfall causes major travel delays, especially during
periods of high traffic volume. Be sure to allow extra time to
reach your destination. Leave extra space between vehicles since
it takes longer to stop on slick roadways.
