...LAKE WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM PDT SUNDAY FOR
LAKE TAHOE...

* CHANGES...Extended Lake Wind Advisory into Sunday evening.

* WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph
  expected. Waves 2 to 4 feet.

* WHERE...Lake Tahoe.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM PDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone
  to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until
  conditions improve. Lake waters will be rough, and small
  boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a
sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing
boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM SUNDAY TO 11 AM
PDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches,
  except 4 to 10 inches above 7000 feet. Winds could gust as high
  as 90 mph along Sierra ridges.

* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

* WHEN...From 7 PM Sunday to 11 AM PDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the morning commute. Very strong winds
  could cause extensive tree damage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snowfall and strongest winds
  are expected Sunday evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Even light snowfall causes major travel delays, especially during
periods of high traffic volume. Be sure to allow extra time to
reach your destination. Leave extra space between vehicles since
it takes longer to stop on slick roadways.
