...Rain and snow showers continue into this evening...

RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS: Rain and snow showers will continue across
the Sierra and western Nevada into this evening. Snow totals will
be highly variable over short distances in the Sierra above 6000
to 6500 feet. There is potential for 2-4 inches of additional snow
in the Sierra if heavier showers persist. Otherwise it will be a
rain/snow/pellet mix for lower elevations. There is also a 20
percent chance for thunderstorms this afternoon.

ROAD IMPACTS: The April sun angle will limit accumulations on
paved surfaces. However, some Sierra passes may receive a slushy
accumulation of snow under heavier showers.
