...Another Breezy Day Followed By Chilly Overnight Temperatures...

WINDS: Most areas in the Sierra and western Nevada will see breezy west
northwest winds today, especially this morning. Gusts of 30 to 40
MPH are likely which could cause issues for high profile vehicles on
wind prone roads, strong turbulence for flying, and rough water
on lakes. Portions of the Eastern Sierra including along Highway
395 from near Mono Lake to Mammoth Lakes to north of Bishop could
see gusts over 50 MPH for a period of time today. Winds are
projected to subside tonight.

COOLER TEMPS: A much cooler airmass will bring high temperatures
roughly 10 degrees below normal today and Monday. More
importantly, overnight lows tonight will be the coolest we`ve had
since early June with rural and suburban valleys seeing
temperatures close to the freezing mark. Those in typically cold
spots such as Minden, Loyalton, Smith Valley, and Spanish Springs
where freezing temperatures are more likely should ensure
irrigation systems and gardens are prepared. Temperatures Tuesday
morning will still be chilly but look to be a few degrees warmer
than Monday morning.
