...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM FRIDAY TO 10 PM PST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
  as 7 below expected. For the Wind Advisory, northeast winds 15 to
  35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.

* WHERE...The southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains, North
  Central and Southeast Siskiyou County, Northeast Siskiyou and
  Northwest Modoc Counties, and Modoc County. This includes Crater
  Lake, Mt. Ashland, Mt. Shasta, Tennant, Dorris, Canby, and Alturas.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 10 PM Friday to 10 AM
  PST Sunday. For the Wind Advisory, from 10 PM Friday to 10 PM PST
  Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Wind chill values and very cold temperatures can lead to
  hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Gusty winds will blow around
  unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power
  outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will first become gusty at exposed
  locations in the higher terrain on Friday night, then will be
  strongest across the area during Saturday afternoon and evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
