...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM PDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.
* WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following
counties, Madera and Mariposa.
* WHEN...Until 815 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Mud and rock slides possible in hilly terrain
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 537 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.

Yosemite South Entrance, Oakhurst, Yosemite Valley, Mariposa
Grove, Buck Camp Ranger Station, Ostrander Lake, Wawona,
Wawona Visitor Center, Fish Camp, Wawona Campground,
Bridalveil Creek Campground, Badger Pass Ranger Station,
Poison Ridge, Chilkoot Meadow, Yosemite Glacier Point, Upper
Pines Campground, Little Yosemite Valley Campground, Lower
Pines Campground, Little Yosemite Valley Ranger Station and
North Pines Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are many low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
