Air Quality Alert

251 PM PDT Fri Oct 16 2020

The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District continues
an Air Quality Alert due to smoke impacts from the Creek Fire,
SQF Complex, and other wildfires throughout the region for Madera,
Fresno, Tulare, Kings, and Valley portion of Kern Counties.

In addition, the Tuolumne County and Mariposa County Air Pollution
Control Districts have issued an Air Quality Alert on October 16,

These Air Quality Alerts are in effect until Monday evening and
may then be extended further.

Exposure to particle pollution can cause serious health problems,
aggravate lung disease, cause asthma attacks and acute
bronchitis, and increase risk of respiratory infections.

Residents are advised to use caution as conditions warrant.
People with heart or lung diseases should follow their doctor`s
advice for dealing with episodes of unhealthy air quality.

Additionally, older adults and children should avoid prolonged
exposure, strenuous activities or heavy exertion, as conditions
