...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM PST EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following
  counties, Madera and Mariposa.

* WHEN...Until 500 AM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 141 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
    flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
    advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Oakhurst, Bass Lake Ranger District, Batterson, Coarsegold,
    Bass Lake, Ahwahnee, Crane Valley Reservoir, Metcalf Gap and
    North Fork.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 98
  inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE...Sierra Nevada above 7,000 feet from Yosemite National Park
  to the Lake Isabella area.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening
  commutes. Strong winds could cause tree damage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
