Ponding of water in urban areas is occurring. Shallow mudslides and rockslides possible in and around recent burn areas and near steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 506 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated moderate to heavy rain across much of Los Angeles County. Rainfall rates of 0.15 to 0.30 inch per hour were occurring in many areas, and rain at these rates will likely continue into at least the late morning hours. The rain will produce widespread ponding of water on area roadways, with flooding of low-lying, poor drainage areas and intersections. In and around recent burn areas, shallow mudslides and rockslides are possible. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected in much of the area through late morning. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
