...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 AM PST THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Napa and eastern Sonoma.

* WHEN...Until 1015 AM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Ponding of water
  in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 701 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain is diminishing. However minor flooding
    and continued runoff is ongoing or expected to persist in the
    advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain and runoff will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Santa Rosa, Napa, Petaluma, American Canyon, Sonoma, St.
    Helena, Calistoga, Boyes Hot Springs, South Santa Rosa Cdp,
    Larkfield-Wikiup, Yountville, Deer Park, Angwin, Glen Ellen,
    Eldridge, Fetters Hot Spring, Fetters Hot Springs-Agua
    Caliente, El Verano and Temelec.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Entire North Bay.

* WHEN...Through Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
  flooded. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood
  with more heavy rain and continuous runoff.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Excessive runoff and elevated levels on area rivers, streams,
    and creeks as well as near-saturated soil will resulting in
    an increased flood potential as the Atmospheric River brings
    moderate to heavy rain to the region.

  elevations.

* WHERE...The East Bay and San Francisco Bay Shoreline, Interior
  Central Coast, The Santa Clara Valley and Eastern Hills, North Bay
  Interior Mountains, and North Bay Interior Valleys.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. The
  combination of wind and moist soils will increase the risk for
  downed trees.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
