...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northwest Arizona, southeast California and Nevada,
including the following areas, in northwest Arizona, Lake Havasu
and Fort Mohave, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Northwest
Deserts and Northwest Plateau. In southeast California, Cadiz
Basin, Death Valley National Park, Eastern Mojave Desert, Eastern
Sierra Slopes, Owens Valley, San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado
River Valley and White Mountains of Inyo County. In Nevada,
Esmeralda and Central Nye County, Lake Mead National Recreation
Area, Las Vegas Valley, Lincoln County, Northeast Clark County,
Sheep Range, Southern Clark County, Spring Mountains-Red Rock
Canyon and Western Clark and Southern Nye County.

* Through late tonight.

* Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected again today that
will continue producing very high rainfall rates and result in
areas of flash flooding. High terrain areas are favored for the
highest rainfall totals, but these storms are expected to move
into lower desert valley areas spreading the flash flood risk
  across much of the region.

* Very heavy rainfall rates are expected which will lead to flash
flooding. Especially in high terrain areas and in highly
vulnerable debris flow areas such as burn scars. With several
instances of flash flooding over the recent weeks, already flash
flood prone washes and low water crossings will be likely to flood
  again.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
