This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Bands of moderate to heavy snow will impact portions of eastern
Utah and western Colorado today. The bulk of activity will be
focused along and north of I-70 this morning before slowly
shifting south this afternoon and evening. Be prepared for winter
driving conditions.

Bitterly cold temperatures are expected tonight as skies clear
across northwest Colorado. Lows for areas such as Craig and
Meeker will drop to -10 to -20 degrees F.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Showers will linger along the Divide on Tuesday with mostly dry
conditions elsewhere. High pressure will rebuild overhead from
midweek onwards resulting in continued dry weather and gradually
warming temperatures. The next Pacific system will break down the
ridge late in the week with increased clouds and potentially
scattered mountain showers returning to the Western Slope for the


Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however
spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts to the
National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
