This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Critical fire weather conditions will develop across southwestern
Colorado as gusty winds and low humidities remain in place. A Red
Flag Warning is in effect to account for this behavior.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Unseasonably cool weather settles across the region today and
tomorrow after a cold front moved through. An amplified ridge of
high pressure builds back into the intermountain west by Tuesday
which will return above normal temperatures, as well as a minimal
chance for precipitation for the foreseeable future.

...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM MDT THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 20 to 28 degrees
  expected.

* WHERE...Upper Yampa River Basin, Central Yampa River Basin,
  Central Colorado River Basin and Lower Yampa River Basin.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM MDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
