Snow will continue over the northern and central mountains and their adjacent valleys this morning before tapering off this afternoon. Additional snowfall accumulations for those mountain areas are expected to range from 2 to 4 inches with local amounts of up to 6 inches for favored peaks and ridges. This activity diminishes by or shortly after sunset. Valley fog is possible late tonight for favored locations. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Light snowfall is expected over the northern mountains Tuesday and Tuesday night with the passage of fast moving upper level disturbance. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts to the National Weather Service in Grand Junction. $$
